Group Therapy

at Greenlake Psychology

What is group therapy?

Group therapy involves a small group of clients meeting together under the guidance of a therapist. Group therapy offers opportunities for meaningful connection, observing others working through challenges in unique ways, building interpersonal skills in a structured environment, and giving and receiving feedback with the support of peers and the group leader. Research shows that group therapy can be just as effective as individual therapy for addressing mental health concerns. Group therapy is often more affordable than individual therapy.
