Child and Adolescent Therapy
When seeking a therapist for your child, you want someone who truly understands their developmental phase.
Therapy with children is play-based - for example, instead of teaching a child directly about emotion regulation, we might play with puppets who are having big feelings!
In therapy, teens are not children and they are not mini-adults. They benefit from having a therapist who understands the unique needs, struggles, pressures, and joys of adolescence. Teens benefit from a confidential place to talk, but also need the important adults in their lives to be involved in the therapy process. We partner with parents, caregivers, and schools to encourage involvement and participation in the therapy process, while respecting confidentiality.
We have developed specific policies for divorced families to ensure transparency and collaboration. Please find details and review policies here.
